Jordi Cazorla

Managing Director & CEO

Jordi Cazorla holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and an MBA from the University of Barcelona. Before joining CELSA in January 2024, he was Managing Director for Southern Europe at DS Smith, an industrial group in the packaging sector with a turnover of more than 9,000 million euros and 30,000 direct employees. He previously held senior management positions at Ideal Standard, American Standard, General Electric and Hewlett Packard. In April 2025 he was appointed vice-president of EUROFER, the association representing steel manufacturers in the European Union, and is a member of the Executive Committee of UNESID.

Borja García-Alarcón

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Borja García-Alarcón has a degree in economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. He began his professional career as a professor of economic analysis at the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and in 1999 he joined Telefónica as a financial analyst, where he became deputy general director of financial analysis. In 2010 he joined Atento as CFO and member of the Management Committee. In 2013 he joined the Enagás Group, where he held the same functions until 2022. He was subsequently CFO and member of Indra’s Management Committee, a position from which he joined CELSA in March 2024.

Mercedes Lara

Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

Mercedes Lara has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and has extensive experience as a corporate lawyer in multinational environments. She joined CELSA after having been legal director at Unilever; legal manager at Reckitt Benckiser; and legal counsel at Danone.

Javier Echávarri

Chief Operating Business Officer (COBO)

Javier Echávarri joined the Group in 2007 as Managing Director of Celsa France. Throughout his career, he has held the positions of CEO of the Celsa Barcelona Group, and CEO of the GSW Group. In 2021 he was appointed CFO and, in April 2024, he assumed the position of Chief Operating Business Officer. Javier holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto and an MBA from IESE Business School.

Carlos Día

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Carlos Día is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of CELSA Group, bringing extensive experience in commercial management within large European industrial groups. He joined the Group in 1999 as Director of TYCSA’s Energy and Telecommunications Division and, from 2001 onwards, held various Managing Director positions at TYCSA PSC and the GSW Wire Works Division. He was appointed CEO of the GSW Group in 2010, of the Celsa BCN Group in 2018, and of Celsa Spain in 2023. He has served as CCO of the Group since April 2024. Carlos holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from La Salle – Ramon Llull University, a Master’s in Marketing from ESIC Business School and an MBA from the University of Cantabria. He has also completed executive education programmes at IESE and MIT.

Franc Cardona

Head of Sustainability, Communications & Public Affairs

Franc Cardona joined the group in 2005 as Assistant to the Corporate Commercial Director. Since then, he has held various positions of responsibility across sales, marketing, logistics, human resources, communications and institutional relations. In 2015 he was appointed Global Director of Marketing, Communication and Public Affairs, and in April 2024 he took on his current role as Head of Sustainability, Communications & Public Affairs. Throughout his career, he has led the consolidation of the Group’s Sustainability, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs functions. He serves on the boards of the Global Steel Climate Council, UNESID and the Alliance of Minerals and Metals. Before joining CELSA Group, he worked as a Project Manager at IDOM. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and an MBA from IESE Business School.

Raúl Serrano

Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer (CSTO)

Raúl Serrano joined the Group in 2009 as Internal Control Manager at CELSA UK, later progressing to Group Finance Manager in 2013. In 2016 he moved to CELSA Poland as CFO and Board member, a position he held for over eight years. In May 2024 he was appointed Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer of the Group. He holds a degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University and an MBA from London Business School.

Marc Ayas

Chief People Officer (CPO)

Marc Ayas brings a solid track record in human resources management within large international industrial groups. Before joining CELSA in July 2024, he spent eight years at DS Smith, serving as Human Resources Director across multiple European countries. Prior to that, he led the Human Resources function at Almirall, a Spanish listed pharmaceutical group, where he spearheaded digital transformation initiatives including the global rollout of SAP SuccessFactors. He completed the PDG (General Management Programme) at IESE Business School.
