Black steel aggregate

Steel aggregate comes from processing the black slag (EAFS – Electric Arc Furnace Slag) produced during the steelmaking process in the electric arc furnace. It is primarily used as an aggregate in the construction industry for producing asphalt, concrete, granular bases and sub-bases for road surfaces. Also used as raw material for rockwool and ferro alloys production.

Cooling, stabilization, crushing, de-ironing, screening, characterization and certification (CE Mark) are the main steps of the process in order to guarantee the market quality standards for the different applications.
