CELSA to appoint Enrique Casanueva and Claudio Aguirre as new directors

Barcelona, 28th May 2026.

The Board of Directors of CELSA STEEL, S.A. has convened its Annual General Meeting. The agenda includes expanding the board to 10 members through the addition of two prominent figures from the financial sector.

With the aim of strengthening the board’s profile, the company plans to appoint Enrique Casanueva, an Industrial Engineer and MIT MBA graduate, currently a board member at BBVA with prior experience at J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs; and Claudio Aguirre, an Economist with an MBA from IE Business School and an AMP from Harvard Business School, who serves as President and Co-founding Partner of Altamar CAM Partners and brings extensive international executive experience from Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.
