Programa Ingenium by CELSA Group™

CELSA Group™ launched in 2016 the Ingenium Program by CELSA Group™, an initiative to support the ability to take on the transformation posed by the Industry 4.0, leading to the changing and revolutionizing of the steel sector.

In the initiative, part of the importance of betting on new technologies is that they provide innovative answers to the challenges of the steel sector and provide the conviction that new ideas are the vehicle needed to reinvent the industry.

The Ingenium program includes two aspects. Its internal side, for employees of the Group called Intrapreneurship, where professionals of Celsa Group make their contributions to the innovation.

On the other side, Ingenium, at the external level, opens itself up to innovative startups around the world to respond to the following five challenges:

1. Energy storage
2. Supply chain traceability
3. 3D printing
4. Intelligent steel
5. Recovery of by-products

In this edition, the 9 winning start-ups have been: Sortek Energía, SL., Smart Enginering, Tecnalia Research & Innovation, InTaiyo, Witrac, Operational Iberia, Indalgo, Cajo Technologies Ltd., and Luxmet Oy.
