CELSA Group™ has received the SIL 2019 Prize, awarded by the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL), in the circular economy category. This award recognizes the Group’s firm commitment to achieving environmental excellence and sustainable development in the industrial sector.

The award ceremony took place during the Night of Logistics, held within the framework of the 21st edition of the SIL and presided over by King Felipe VI. Pere Oteo, Chief People & Organization Office of CELSA Group™, has been commissioned to collect an award that highlights the Group’s commitment to contribute to the preservation of the environment through the use of the most sustainable steel production technologies; promotion of recycling and the reuse of steel products at the end of their life cycle, the valorization of by-products and the commitment to operate their facilities efficiently.

The winning projects have been selected by a jury formed by the organizing committee of the Hall. In this edition, the SIL Awards have had a total of 25 finalist candidates in the four available categories: logistics efficiency and technological innovation, digitization of the supply chain, logistics sustainability and circular economy. The delivery ceremony has brought together many professionals and authorities in the international trade, logistics and supply chain sectors.
